I am Volo. I am not some hip, happening fashionista, here to tell you what is in and what is out. I am nothing but a mere lover of fashion, music, jewelry and all things eclectic, old ( or the new pc term- vintage), and I love to share with people. The Boudoir Exchange, is your trip to my closet, my thoughts, and my creativity.
Jewelry is an addiction. IT REALLY IS. Like the venus fly trap from the cult classic movie, Little Shop of Horrors, " Feed me Seymour!!!" There is a little jewelry box in my head that says, " Feed me VOLO!!!" So yeah, I eagerly swipes my debit card. www.iamvolo.com is my online jewelry/accessories boutique . It will feature my hand crafted items, as well as my personal selection of jewelry from various areas, vendors and businesses. All under one "roof" for you to view, purchase, give as gifts, or keep for yourself.
While building this blog, my wonderful research crew and I, took the time to take a
look about at other blogs, mostly indie blogs, of folks such as myself.
I noticed that most of them where able to tell you about their style.
It got me to thinking... What is my style? And I laughed at
myself a bit because, I often find myself saying, " Thas not my style"
But what is? I hope to be able to show you... instead of telling you.
Volo's Boudoir/ EXV is accessories a la' carte! You won't often find "sets" there. Mainly because, I don't buy my own jewelry in sets, and I don't wear it that way either. I catch some flack about that from time to time. It's OK though. What is meant with accessories a la' carte, is, take a piece from here, piece from there, put it together and VOILA! Find a bit of yourself in my collection of accessories, put them with your own flair and panache and GO! Me knowing that I have had a small part in what you are "rockin", as my Volonians so lovingly put it, mean the absolute world to me.
In my selection process, I try and take my time. I try to consider you the consumer before I make selections on what to add to iamvolo.com. Not because I want to be sure that it is something that will sell. I take my time because, if I wanted some one to present something to me, I'd want to know that they took their time. Thought about the things that I would like to see, purchase and wear. I would like to think that giver/presenter knew a 'lil somethin' about me. Makes me think about Christmas or birthdays. For some one you care about, do you a.) just buy them the first thing on the shelf and say, " ..its the thought that counts"? side note: but is it really- all the time? b.)Do you get them the "one size fits all" gift card? c.)Do you take your time, get excited even, when hitting the stores to get the gift you think the person would love? I choose c.
